Colours of Life Art Exhibition 2023

Ripple Arts team is excited to welcome artists of all levels, from across London to submit their work for consideration.

Ripple Arts, Art Exhibition provides a great opportunity for talented artists like yourself to gain greater exposure by showcasing your work to a new audience, whilst raising awareness and and funds for Wandle Heritage Ltd Charity (charity number: 1045636) and The Wandle River Community Garden Project.

Overview and our Model
Ripple Arts, Art Exhibition is aimed at showcasing the talents of both emerging and established artists.

The Exhibition Entry Details
You are invited to produce and submit original artworks that represents a creative, unique or personal connection to the theme of ‘Colours of Life’. We will accept work from any individual artist who live or work in the London Area and are able to deliver and pick up their artwork from the venue listed below.

We encourage you to be as free as possible in the expression of your artwork. The work submitted can be any form of 2 dimensional art, including painting, drawings, mixed media, photography. We do not accept large 3 dimensional sculptures, pottery needs to be of a table top size. It can be in any media and of any genre – impressionistic, naturalistic, realistic or abstract.

Initial applications is free. Upon acceptance to the Exhibition a fee of £100 per Exhibition Panel (H2000cm x W70cm) or £175 for 2 panels (H2000cm x 140cm). Initial submissions should be in digital form only emailed to info.ripplearts@gmail.com. You will need to submit 1 hi-resolution image. The submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges with chosen artists to be exhibited. The judges decision is final. You will be able to exhibit as many artworks as can fit into the space provided. Your artworks will need to be delivered ready to hang on Wednesday 22nd March or Thursday 23rd March.

Exhibition Dates:
Over two weekends: Friday 24th (Private View)
Open to the public: Saturday 25th March – Sunday 26th March, and  Friday 31st March– Sunday 2nd April.

To give yourself the best chance of gaining maximum exposure please supply your artwork ready to hang, framed or mounted if needed to ensure best presentation.

Our Model
Ripple Arts, Art Exhibition aims to sell exhibited artworks through invited well-established London Art Galleries, private sales or online sales. By taking part in the exhibition you agree that your hi-res images can be used for:

a) online, private or corporate sales through Ripple Arts social media
b) for any publicity material (social media and or printed matter)

  • 15% of the sale price of each piece of art goes to the Ripple Arts chosen charity.
  • 5% of the sale price of each piece of art goes to cover administrative costs, and
  • 80%* of the sale price of each piece of art goes to the artist.

* Artists may choose to donate their artwork to Ripple Arts instead, thereby giving 90% of the sale price to the charity with the remaining 10% going towards exhibition and administrative costs. 

Entry and Deadlines
To enter the competition, you must submit all of the following items to info.ripplearts@gmail.com before 10th of March

  • One Hi-resolution image of your original artwork that represents a creative, unique and personal connection to the concept of Metamorphosis.

Entry Specifications
The artwork submitted must be:

  • A unique piece, not a reproduction of others.
  • Signed by the artist as evidence of uniqueness and authenticity and not reproduction
  • from a limited run of 15 or less*
  • No larger than 1 metre wide (unless you are purchasing two boards)

* If exhibiting, artists do not need to send in all prints. This stipulation is to limit the number of prints on the market, so that in the event of any purchase the price is protected and unique to the buyer.

10th March Deadline to receive high-resolution image and completed,
signed description form and declaration to info.ripplearts@gmail.com

22nd/23rd March Deadline for hanging your artwork at the venue (see
below for the address).

Friday 24th of March Private view at the Chapter House, invitees and artists
6pm – 9pm 

25th, 26th & 31st March-2nd April Artwork exhibited over two weekends to the public at the Chapter House.

Competition results announced at 3pm on 2nd of April, live at the venue.

Artworks to be collected from Merton Priory Chapter House, Chapter Way, Wimbledon SW19 2RX no later than one week after exhibition closes.
